Ride on the back of a garbage collection truck, collecting solid waste on a designated route. Direct the driver when pulling out into traffic and backing up, and guide incoming vehicles to the dumping area at solid waste disposal facilities. Check the operating and safety conditions of vehicles, perform minor servicing, and report needed repairs or maintenance.
