Broome-Tioga Workforce NY is the Southern Tier’s primary nexus for Workforce Development. Broome County and Tioga County offices of Employment & Training (“OET”) partner with New York State Department of Labor’s (‘NYSDOL”) Broome-Tioga Department of Employment Workforce Solutions (“DEWS”) Unit to provide a full spectrum of wrap-around services, innovative quality training, educational solutions, resumé writing, and job placements. We are dedicated to providing innovative, quality training and educational solutions to our customer that comes through our doors. We actively connect workers to local employers and available trainings, strengthening the Southern Tier region’s workforce, economy, businesses, and families.
New to our agency?
We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00am-4:00pm, Wednesdays from 8:00am-3:00pm, and every last Wednesday of the month, we are open from 9:30am-4:00pm. You can call us at 607-778-2136 to make an appointment, or come visit our Career Center, located at the Oakdale Mall (2nd floor) in Johnson City. Walk-ins accepted Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (Initial Assessments take 45 min to an hour), subject to counselor availability. Our Tioga County One-Stop is located at 1638 Route 38, Owego, NY. Print out and fill in a registration form to save time! Career Center staff are dedicated to assisting job seekers and employers in a professional and friendly atmosphere. We have computers, printers, scanners, faxes, and phones to allow you to research the job market, apply for jobs online, or print your resumé.
