Responsible for performing turn on and/or off, setting, reading, removing, repairing, testing and/or replacing residential water meters and recording data; investigating billing complaints in the field by confirming readings and checking for leaks or main breaks; monitoring cross-connection control and/or locating service lines; tagging doors for termination of service to delinquent customer accounts; and performing routine valve box maintenance, ensuring lids are present, valves are operational, and valve boxes are cleaned out. Assist with T&D Operations as needed, setting up job sites with required signage and traffic cones, traffic control, water main repairs. HS Diploma or equivalent required, 2+ years in water utilities preferred. Pay range from $28.84 to $32.69. Must possess a 2B, C, D water operator license, or have the ability to obtain required water licenses within 12-18 months.
